I am an avid kayaker, but have recently re-discovered the joys of canoeing. So long story short…What is the best canoe for TWO people, a couple of dogs and gear for a wide, curvy, slow moving, shallow river? I know there are flat bottom, shallow v’s, etc, etc. But all this research hasn’t given me a definitive answer! Are there any trolling motor or propulsion systems out there made for shallow water? This river (Caney Fork) is deep at points, but then gets to less than 8 inches at times. Its a river constantly regulated by the Center Hill Dam here in TN. Any ideas, experience, links, youtube videos…ANYTHING will be GREATLY appreciated!!!!
