Duct tape, the answer to 90% of your camping issues.October 23, 2007 at 1:32 pm #5481PreacherParticipantI need a new cold weather hat. My cheap touque keeps slipping off my head. Any suggestions?
October 3, 2007 at 5:45 pm #5480PreacherParticipantOne of my favourite Jaws quotes, “That’s one bad hat, Harry.”

Study this. 😮Sorry you can’t youtube for it. Rolf & Debbie Kraiker have a couple great ones posted there.

September 19, 2007 at 4:48 pm #5329PreacherParticipantWhat about making one out of webbing? Might that work?

September 19, 2007 at 11:58 am #5091PreacherParticipantThanks, here’s hoping the OPP throw the book at them. It’s election time, call your candidates. They love to appear tough on gun crime.
September 19, 2007 at 11:43 am #5090PreacherParticipantThanks. “terroristic threats” Hrm. Post 911 justice I guess. Used to be uttering a death threat and threatening violence was enough. I guess the colour has worn off those wordings and it needs to be brightened up for the New Millenium.
I hope they throw the book at them. I have several sisters and grew up with zero tollerance for rape threats. Rather sickened that the term is used wholesale by today’s fanboy culture.

September 18, 2007 at 7:24 pm #5354PreacherParticipantI’ve carried a Pakcanoe a few times. They’re surprisingly light. Depends on the portage and how it’s packed. If it’s a long and technical hike, I’d rather have the weight on my hips and close to my body. Twisting and foot placement gets wierd when the mass is in front and behind.
Packing and re-assembly takes most of an hour?
Dragging made a lot of sense to me on one trip. Tough plastic canoe, dehydration, fairly clean portage.
September 14, 2007 at 3:15 pm #5088PreacherParticipantAre you kidding me? Well, I guess it’s their right.
September 13, 2007 at 7:13 pm #5292PreacherParticipantI remembered hearing something about a particular stroke and getting one’s face at/in the water. So I tried to find the balance and…whoops! “Mind thy head,” yeah.
