Lyndi and I took our Weynonah solo canoes to Double Lake Recreation Area for a weekend of camping and canoeing, July 23, 2016.
It is a small lake. Above is the GPS track of the several trips up and down the lake during our 2.4 mile paddling adventure.
Note: The satellite image is from when the lake was dry 2 years ago.
Load up the canoes:
Hitch up the travel trailer:
Paddling:
Lyndi was able to tow me and my canoe at a cruising speed of 2.5 mph.
Lyndi paddled up the “path” to visit our fellow campers at their campsite.

Those photos are so great! Proof that even small lakes are worth the paddle… inspiring!
