The Kettle River Paddle Festival is just weeks away. (April 29- May 1)
This is a great event for whitewater canoeist and anyone who has dreamed of whitewater canoeing. The Kettle River is designated as a “wild and scenic” river. The river has miles and miles of beautiful flat-water paddling and a couple miles of class II-III whitewater.
Anyone interested in the sport of whitewater canoeing should visit the paddling festival, check the web site for event schedule. http://www.kettleriverpaddlefest.com/
Here’s another great reason to check out he Kettle River Paddle Festival- Mohawk Canoes will have a trailer full of demo canoes to test float. http://www.mohawkcanoes.com/
Try them on the flat water or try paddling them on the whitewater of the Kettle River. Mohawk makes a great canoe, and here’s a chance to judge for yourself.
Be sure to stick around for the evening activities. We’ve got the National Paddling Film Festival Roadshow and some sweet door prizes including a Mitchell whitewater paddle and paddle made by the Sanborn Canoe Company http://www.sanborncanoe.com/
