The Ouzel 15-8 is a true all-around canoe. It serves the needs of the solo sportsman and can take a family on lengthy camping trips. It's a formidable whitewater boat and outperforms most other canoes under sail. And -- it's built of super-tough Royalex® ABS.
Fast and sleek with advanced styling, the Nova 16 has one of the sharpest and most efficient entry lines of any Royalex canoe. With accent lines molded under the deck and clean lines this canoe is one of our most attractive models. A tucked in center section makes solo paddling easier. The flared sides below the tucked in line and the shallow arched bottom give the Nova good initial and final stability.
The Mohawk Intrepids are dry, high volume canoes, with slightly arched and moderately-rockered bottoms, they are the most versatile of our canoes. Very stable and dry, they are at home running whitewater rivers or carrying fisherman to their favorite fishing spot. Because of their roomy, full volume, flared ends with extra reinforcing, the Mohawk Intrepids are a good choice when the canoe will be used in both flat and whitewater.
Stability is top priority for family canoeing. And our Ouzel 17 has earned the reputation of being the "best choice". This extra-stable workhorse provides ample room for children, camping gear, and the family dog. Load up and venture away from the crowds to your own private camping spot... Don't worry when your kids, spotting a muskrat, shift their weight simultaneously to the same side... your Ouzel has plenty of stability to handle the situation.
Many paddlers - particularly those with small children - do not want to give up performance in exchange for stability and volume. While the Temagami may not have quite the speed of the Winisk, it has enormous stability and room for gear, pets and children. The Temagami performs a multitude of jobs well and will also appeal to those who intersperse a bit of easier white-water with their flat water paddling.
Refined from its original design with narrower paddling stations, a sleeker hull shape, lowered seat positions, and differential rocker, the Keewaydin 17 is a dynamic multi-purpose boat. For couples who want a fast tripping boat, or for small families in need of a lake country tripper, the Keewaydin is the perfect choice.
It’s a high volume canoe with symmetrical rocker for predictable back ferries, and perfectly sized for four barrels or packs. Or bring the kids and Lassie, then toss in the cooler, and everyone will feel stable and safe day-paddling in the B 17.
Joe Seliga built his wood canvas canoes in Ely, Minnesota for over 60 years. Seligas have been cherished by generations. When Joe was ready to pass on his legacy he sought out Ted Bell and asked that his classic design continue.
The Polaris quickly accelerates and offers a lively paddling experience. Skilled paddlers raved about the performance of its predecessor and we named our company after it.
The Northwind 16 offers a wide variety of paddling possibilities. This is the canoe for you: if you love day trips, but might load it up for a week; love fishing but might need to maneuver through light rapids; love to paddle with a partner but might want to go solo. The Northwind 16 turns on a dime, yet tracks as straight as a true north compass bearing.
