Length: 18’ 6” The Susquehanna has a narrower water line than the Blackhawk and is 6" longer in length, making it a great cruising canoe that is a joy to paddle, while still being very stable. With a total weight as low as 34 lb., this 18' 6" canoe can be handled with ease both in and out of the water. This is a great high performance canoe which can be used for a day outing or for wilderness tripping. This canoe design is our fastest recreational canoe and is probably the fastest recreational design available by any manufacture for flat-water paddling.

Length: 18'6" Gene Jensen designed the V1-A hull to copy the performance characteristics of his very successful V1-Pro Boat, while meeting the USCA boat specifications. The result is a very fast cruiser that handles trash water with ease and “pops” almost effortlessly. For these paddlers, it's essential that they can easily trim the canoe so it responds quickly and effortlessly to their paddle strokes. They can't afford to be fighting a canoe that handles poorly. That's why we build the V1-A with a "whale-tail." This allows the stern paddler to be farther back in the canoe, properly trimming and balancing the hull for maximum performance. For paddlers that have a variety of partners, it's possible to rig our mixer to change between a men's and a mixed set-up.
