The Mohawk Viper 12 has excellent primary stability as well as good secondary stability. However, the Mohawk Viper 12’s edge (sharper, less curvaceous chine) can catch cross currents and eddies and flip the paddler who has not mastered riding the edge.
The Viper 11 is the work horse of the Viper series. It has softer edges than its big brother the Viper 12 but makes up for it with shorter length and more rocker. Easy rolling and quick response is what you will find in the 11. With great primary stability and very good second stability it is the boat to advance your skill.
The first Royalex whitewater canoe to incorporate a double chined hull. As a result of the needs expressed by paddlers, the Nitro was developed to be the best surfing open-canoe available for canoeists. By incorporating double chines the Nitro exhibits predictable edge control when side surfing or carving turns and is comfortable in transitions between initial and secondary stability. A deep hull in the center and towards the ends enhances buoyancy and dryness.
Ideal for technical rapids, the Detonator will navigate through ledges, waves, rollers and holes with ease. Surprisingly stable and dry, the Detonator is also one of the best canoes for surfing! A very forgiving boat for progressing paddlers.
The Zoom, for the advanced paddler, is the most agile, quick and responsive Royalex canoe available. Whether front surfing fast green waves or spinning 360’s on tiny curlers the Zoom provides the versatility to engage any river feature; boofing ledges, landing waterfalls, capturing tiny currents.
The Maxim, designed by Maxwell Johnston is the next generation creek boat. With an extremely flat planning hull it is very agile and fast. The chines run from bow to stern making for a very fast easy to paddle boat. With moderate rocker and full length chines this boat is fast, dry and boof friendly. If you are looking for a boat to rip the steeps to pieces this is it. As well as this boat handles the creeks it is just at home on big water. The deep bow and stern keeps this boat dry no matter the type of water that you prefer. The planning hull makes this boat surf and play with the best of them. For what this design lacks in primary stability it more than makes up for in secondary stability.
