The Shearwater is a roomy, stable solo tripper that is most at home on open water. With its high weight capacity and generous length you can bring all the gear you need and still cruise with ease. For long range solo trippers, or for those who need room for gear or a four legged partner, the Shearwater is the way to go.
Looking for a large solo canoe that can haul a load? A solo that will double as a tandem? Or maybe your into freestyle canoeing. The Deep Creek Solo will fit the ticket. We take our Deep Creek hull, pull in the gunwales 2” and outfit it with a web seat just behind center. It makes a great hunting or fishing canoe with lots of room for the dog.
The Otter is a narrow, light, and fast canoe that tracks beautifully. She has about 1" of tumblehome amidships, straight sides at the seats and is slightly flared at the ends with sharp entry lines. The bottom is fairly flat with very little rocker on the ends. She can be used as a small tandem canoe or a solo expedition canoe. Maximum carrying capacity is between 350 and 400 pounds. Standard construction includes #12 canvas, no keel or half ribs and two seats.

The Sea Wind is by far Verlen's greatest achievement in canoe design and construction. The other models in the Kruger line are all designed and built just as well as the Sea Wind, but the Sea Wind is the most versatile. The more open cockpit on the Sea Wind gives the paddler the room to stay more comfortable on long trips as well as good access to gear and supplies while underway. It is lighter than the Dreamcatcher, this makes portaging or pulling around obstacles as well as car topping a little easier. The larger cockpit also makes it easier for entering and dry exiting, especially when it is tough to pull right up to shore. Gear is much easier loaded and unloaded and in a pinch the Sea Wind can become a very cozy sleeping area.

The J-193 was designed to be the sister of the J-203 that came out in the year of 2000 for the 18'6" C-1 racers. The J-193’s eighteen foot length gives it exceptional tracking ability combined with the blazing speed that Gene Jensen’s designs are famous for. Yet the 193 is maneuverable enough to handle the various wake riding and sprinting situations that you’ll encounter during a race.
