SpitFire is our redesign of the classic Adirondack pack canoe, shouldered to improve dryness and to allow more efficient, more vertical, strokes. The paddler sits slightly off the canoe bottom for great stability - just as in a kayak - and paddles with a double-blade paddle. Spitfire is larger and more efficient than the Rushton originals, increasing speed and stability, and adjusting for today's larger paddlers. Differential shear, differential rocker, asymmetrical hull shape and shouldered cross-section combine to make SpitFire the most sophisticated pack canoe ever designed.
Flat bottom, extremely stable, high capacity.
This beamy (31"), stable canoe is a favourite of casual canoeists, combining extremely light weight and paddling ease for both children and adults. It is available as a single or two seat model and is ideal for ponds, marshes, small rivers and lakes. Great fun for the young and the young-of-heart.

The Mohawk Probe 12 shares all of the features of the Mohawk Probe 13 but in a more performance-oriented form. The Mohawk Probe 12 is 6″ shorter overall and narrower at the 4″ waterline and an inch narrower at the gunwale. Some stability is sacrificed with the Mohawk Probe 12 compared to the Mohawk Probe 13, but the increase in performance is noticeable. The Mohawk Probe 12 still has great secondary stability due to the flared center-section.
An easy-to-handle canoe for fishing, bird-watching or trips down the river. At 32 pounds the Hide-a-way laughs at portages. The design is impeccable. This boat moves through the water beautifully.
Designed for all paddlers, our rendition marries this historical design with our proven composite construction techniques to produce a modernized classic that the original designers could never have imagined. Built exclusively in a Kevlar® construction, our Wee Lassie is an effortless carry to and from the waters edge. Easy to maneuver, the Wee Lassie is a joy to paddle while exploring small lakes and ponds.
Sweetheart is user-friendly and requires almost no paddling skills -- a distinct aft keel section, in combination with a gentle bow rise, makes the Sweetheart track straight. Sweetheart measures 12.5 feet and weighs only 29 pounds in Kevlar/Graphite, meaning you can take it almost anywhere. Use it for fishing, photography, nature watching...
The Mohawk Viper 12 has excellent primary stability as well as good secondary stability. However, the Mohawk Viper 12’s edge (sharper, less curvaceous chine) can catch cross currents and eddies and flip the paddler who has not mastered riding the edge.
It’s the boat that most entry level paddlers can start out with and yet never grow out of. The Mohawk Probe 13’s 28″ beam at the 4″ waterline makes it quick to accelerate off the line. The flair at the center section gives the Mohawk Probe 13 a tremendous amount of secondary stability that loyal Mohawk Probe paddlers love. The Mohawk Probe 13, like other Mohawk Probes, has a symmetrical rocker. This feature makes ferrying, eddy turns and peel outs in the Mohawk Probe 13 reassuringly predictable.
