Is your yoke just too beautiful to drill? Are there times when you'd like to take your pads off and not leave a hole behind? If so, our new clamp-on pads are for you! Based on the same comfortable, yet bombproof design as our original pads, these pads offer many advantages over existing clamp-ons. There's no protruding hardware to tear your packs on. Also, all of the hardware is captive, so you can't lose any parts at the worst possible time. Imagine! Comfort, durability, lightness, and convenience - all in one pad design!

The optimum combination of comfort, light weight and durability. The sling-like design of our pads flexes to adapt the load to your shoulders. New longer thicker pads completely cover the pad frame. The single bolt mount, when loosened, provides enough side-to-side adjustment to comfortably fit any shoulders. You would be amazed how much difference in comfort even a half inch of adjustment can make!

Tumplines were originally used back in the day by the voyageurs of the North American fur trade to help carry their heavy loads of pelts and rations across portages. The tumpline should NOT be worn on the forehead. Rather, it is placed across the top of the head, just to the rear of the hairline. By doing this, the weight of the load is transferred off your shoulders and it also keeps the load over your center of balance.
