Celebrating Canoes – Past and Present

6th Annual Upper Great Lakes Regional Assembly of the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association

Finish off the summer by joining us for a long weekend of celebrating canoes and canoeing. Held near Ely, MN at YMCA Camp Widgiwagan on Burntside Lake. In special honor of canoes built by and the legacy of Joe Seliga.

Activities will include:

• Canoeing film festival
• Classic canoe and boat show
• Paddling demonstrations
• Paddle-making and canoe building workshops
• Excursions to neighboring Boundary Waters Wilderness
• Canoe races
• On water activities for young and old
• Gathering around the campfire and swapping stories
• Live canoeing inspired music
