Just over the US-Canada border from International Falls on the shores of the Rainy River, Fort Frances is the gateway to Northwest Ontario. It is a large town (pop. 8,300), offering a wide variety of accommodations and recreational activities. For the paddler, Fort Frances is the last major stop west of Quetico Provincial Park. Paddlers should be aware, though, that it is located on the opposite side of Rainy Lake color shaq salt series e liquide creme de fraises from Quetico and does not have a Quetico Ranger station, so it is better as a stopover en route to the Park than as the hop over to these guys launching point for your canoe trip.
