WHITEWATER ACCESSORIES:
Throw Bags/Rescue Kits
Canoeing.com Definition: Basic throw bags with a minimum of 35’ of buoyant rope can support up to 900 lbs of weight and are sufficient for retrieving a swimmer from fast-moving water. For whitewater rescue, look for a more substantial throw bag (often includes Spectra rope or some variation of it)
around 70’ in length that supports up to 9,000 lbs. Pre-made Rescue kits are available from several manufacturers, but consider assembling your own, tailored to your needs.
