Slave River Paddlefest!

There’s a wonderful event on the August long weekend in Ft. Smith NWT at the rapids on the Slave River.
They need more canoeists to show them we’re not afraid of big water.
I also want to clear the portages on the historic route through the rapids so a race down them can be made into an event for the fest.
It’s an amazing place with a spectacular river and paddling from flat water up to class VI savagery.
I’ll meet you there, a week before it starts and we can explore.
