Found a Aussie Army Hat that I stripped down, and added a spiffie band to it. It’s a light weight felt and was comfortable even in the heat.
I like the wide brim for the sun protection

Also brought the Boonie that my cousin is wearing after the top of her ears fried.

hey; I like your hat hillbilly. It makes you instantly recognizable in a crowd, kinda like Kenny Roger’s (Oops, I mean Kim’s 🙂 ) beard.
Me; I just wear a tilly in the summer or a “mad bomber” in the winter

I need a new cold weather hat. My cheap touque keeps slipping off my head. Any suggestions?

Duct Tape? It’s relatively cheap, and is useful for canoe repair. Plus it would be a great fashion statement.:D

Grow hair, your head would not be so slippery.

to keep the sun off my head, I usually wear an Outback style hat. If it gets hot, I dip a bandana in the water and wrap my head before putting the hat on. Sun stays off my face, head stays cool.

Another useful item is the Buff (from buffwear.com). wrap your neck, head or face. use it as a bandana, beanie, balaclava, scarf, headband. They’re incredibly useful.

For years I’ve always worn either a Tilly, Ultimate, or some type of military boonie hat.
