Feature Story

Pickle Lake
If you’re headed to Opasquia Provincial Park or any of the myriad rivers that make their way across Ontario to Hudson’s Bay, Pickle Lake is your last stop before hours of dirt road.  It is, in fact, the most northern town in Ontario accessible year-round by road.  A tiny town (pop. 300) at the end of Highway 599, Pickle Lake still offers everything you’ll need, including a medical clinic, accommodations, outfitters, and charter air service.
